June stamp club - new In Colors

Every month, once a month, 3-5 women gather in my home for Stamp Club. Their obligation is to purchase $30 (or $50 if they are in the summer club) of catalog merchandise each month. In doing so, I can submit at least a $150 show from each club, therefore garnering hostess benefits! One month each participant get a turn at collecting the free hostess benefits, because each club will meet for as many months as there are participants.

We always have fun!

Stamp Club is something that I have done for years. It is a great way for me to keep my little business up and running especially since I no longer do home workshops.

For you:
•It is a way to whittle away at your wish list.
•It is a way to learn how to use new product (or different ways to use that which you've already bought!)
•It is a  monthly gathering of women (so you know it's fun!), many of them form friendships that last a lifetime all because they met at a Stamp Club!

I always try to teach something different - a new fold or technique - each month. I also try to introduce new product, especially if it's seasonal.

Stampin' Up! is always offering something new! Clubs are a way we can talk about all the specials that are going on.

If you're local and interested in joining a Club, please just send me an email and I will add you to a list. When I get five participants (or three for the Summer Club) I will let you know. At that time we can discuss which times/days work best for all of you.

Here are a few projects from past Stamp Clubs:
I have often entertained the idea of a long-distance club.

Even though I have lived in Connecticut now for 10 years, I still have customers in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. (now that's what I called loyalty!)

I could send all the materials pre-cut and pre-stamped ahead of time. Then you could view a private video on YouTube to assemble.

As of yet I have not done that, but if you're interested, perhaps I just need a little prodding....

Last night, the first of my three June Clubs met. I have three projects planned this month. Each will receive its own blog post, so be sure to check all three out!
--------
At this month's Stamp Clubs, my first objective is to introduce the five new In Colors that Stampin' Up! is offering. They will be available for two years.

The first card we made was really just to showcase the colors: Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Tangelo Twist, and Hello Honey.

We used the new Work of Art stamp set.

I love this set - there is so much you can do with it! I'm sure you will be seeing lots of it in future posts from me!

We embellished the card with some rhinestones on a Lost Lagoon butterfly. It was punched out using the Elegant Butterfly punch, and adhered with mini glue dots.

(Note for future: I originally did the colors in reverse order; when I stamped the sentiment, the Blackberry Bliss ink was too dark to really see the black ink.)

Here is a close-up of each of the colors and how they compare to our existing colors...

Blackberry Bliss:

Blackberry is on the top, to the right, with the ink pad. Under that, going right to left, are the current colors of Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum. I've also included the retired Concord Crush (because purple is my favorite color!)

Next up - Mossy Meadow:
Again, the new color is on top, with the matching ink pad. Going right to left you have: Peaf Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Garden Green, Pistachio Pudding, and my beloved Gumball Green, now retired.

Let's look at some of the blues compared to the new Lost Lagoon...

No  retired colors in this one! Starting with the new on the right and going to the left you'll see: Marina Mist, Island Indigo, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party.

Who has a pool? I feel like going swimming now!

With that in mind, let's look at our "sunshiney" colors of orange, starting with the new Tangelo Twist on the right:
After the new color you will see Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Crisp Cantaloupe, Cajun Craze, and the retired Dusty Durango (because I still have some!)

Last but not least we have the yellows. Let's see how they compare to the new Hello Honey (on the right):
From right to left: Hello Honey, Dafodill Delight, Crushed Curry, So Saffron, retired InColor Summer Starfruit, and retired old favorite More Mustard.

I hope it helps you to see similar colors side-by-side. I thought initially that many of them were very similar to something else we already have. But, when I do this I see very clearly that they are different!

These colors will be around for two catalog years, so they are labeled as "In Colors 2014-2016".

In the catalog you will find  In Color card stock, markers, ink pads and refills, and even fun embellishments!

If you received your catalog from me directly you have also received a coupon good for this month for In Color products! Now is the time to stock up!

So, have fun playing and creating with the new In Colors!
